Made of 316L stainless steel, this timepiece features a Naval watch case design. The round, skeletonized dial states "ANDROID MECHANICAL 17 JEWELS" at 6:00 and has blue/luminous hands. Its exhibition back gains intriguing visibility to the movement and rotor. The Rose-tone choice comes with a brown leather strap with tan stitches, while the Silver-tone and Gold-tone choices have black leather straps with black stitches. Mechanical Movement The artistry of watch-making finds representation best through the mechanical movement which requires painstaking skill and precision to create. A mechanical watch uses the regulated release of energy from a wound spring run through a collection of gears and an escapement to keep time. Mechanical watches must be manually wound via the crown in order to apply tension to the mainspring. Strap: leather. Movement: Seagull 9211 mechanical. Crystal: hardened mineral. Crown: push/pull. I purchased it for my husband after we saw it in the movie "Equilibrium". My husband is getting compliments and expressions of amazement on a daily basis - One of our friends stated - "I have looked at many watches, but this is the first watch that is looking back at me!" The two dials are independent from each other and can therefore display two different times simultaniously - my husband having family oversees now knows whatever time it is back home.THIS WATCH IS CERTAINLY WORTH THE MONEY!!! Now some disadvantages: The watch is smaller than I expected and I later figured that the "Equilibrium" watch was a signature one - and specially made for the movie. The original Android face does not reach from left to right of the wrist. That is unexpected but it makes the watch less dramatic and therefore a perfect fit for any occasion as well as every day life. So I would only recommand not to buy this watch if you have a wide wrist because you will find...
